Deskkit – Rental Terms & Deposit Policy

1. Overview



Deskkit provides short-term rentals of ergonomic hardware such as monitors, keyboards, mice, and laptop stands to remote workers and digital nomads in Montreal. By placing a rental order, you (“the renter”) agree to the terms below.






2. Rental Duration & Billing



  • Rentals are offered on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

  • Billing is based on calendar days, regardless of pickup time.

  • Rental periods begin on the day of delivery and end on the scheduled return date.

  • Late returns may result in additional charges.





  • 3. Delivery & Pickup



  • We currently deliver within Montreal island to coworking spaces, AirBnBs, hotels, and private addresses.

  • Standard delivery and pickup are included in the rental price unless otherwise specified.

  • Delivery times are based on availability and will be confirmed via email.





  • 4. Equipment Use & Responsibility



  • The renter is responsible for the care of all equipment during the rental period.

  • Normal wear and tear is acceptable. However, any damage, loss, theft, or misuse may result in repair/replacement fees.

  • Equipment must be returned in the same condition it was delivered.





  • 5. Deposit Policy



  • All rentals require a refundable deposit equal to 2× the rental value.

  • - _Example: a 1-week kit rental of $50 requires a $100 deposit._


  • Deposits are collected securely at checkout.

  • If equipment is returned in acceptable condition:

  • - The deposit is fully refunded within 3 business days to the original payment method.


  • In case of damage or missing parts:

  • - A partial or full deduction may be made from the deposit based on repair or replacement costs.


    - An invoice will be provided detailing any deductions.






    6. Cancellations & Refunds



  • Orders cancelled 24 hours or more in advance of the delivery date will be refunded in full.

  • Orders cancelled less than 24 hours before delivery may be refunded minus a $10 handling fee.

  • No-shows or failure to receive delivery at the agreed time may result in partial or full charge.





  • 7. Insurance & Liability



  • Deskkit does not offer insurance coverage for rented items.

  • You may optionally include your own insurance coverage (e.g. travel insurance) for high-value rentals.

  • Deskkit is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from improper use of the equipment.
